Showing films to groups in shops, retail, public and public environments is covered by what is considered institutional film screening and rights for it are required. Regardless of whether it is spontaneous or planned with or without a clear purpose. It can be anything from an old children's film, a documentary, a classic or the latest blockbusters. This applies regardless of whether the film is played from a DVD, Bluray, streamed or shown from, for example, SVT Play.
Screenings of the Swedish Film License may only take place for the activity for which the agreement is signed.
The screenings of the Swedish Film License do not apply to screenings of films that are public, i.e. open to the public.
