Showing movies outdoors is popular both summer and winter. There is something special about sitting on the picnic blanket or in the winter landscape and watching a movie under the stars, perhaps with ice as a screen.

Drive-ins started appearing in the USA already in the 1930s and are becoming increasingly popular in Sweden. Now we even have sail-in and bike-in, or why not snowmobile-in.

When you wish to organize a film festival and want to show several films over one or more days, special rights are needed, which Swedish Film can arrange. Important to consider before a festival: at least three of the films must be booked via Swedish Film and festival passes must be picked up by all festival visitors and the organizer undertakes to draw up a list of participants.

The possibilities for showing films are many and there are different things to think about depending on which film screening you want to organise. Contact us to discuss your thoughts and ideas regarding your particular screening and we will help you find the best opportunities and films for you.

Swedish Film gets screening rights to
Public screenings and special screenings by applying for the rights holder's permission for the specific film screening. As a result, the conditions for the film screenings may vary and a price will be provided for each screening after a quote has been given.

*According to the law (2010:1882) on age limits for films that must be shown in public, is passed i.a. provided that films to be shown to children under the age of 15 at public gatherings or public events must be approved by the Norwegian Media Council
